Vivoblu is a water filtration company located in Denver, Colorado. Vivoblu is using its uniquely designed, patent-pending water filtration solutions to provide access to clean, safe water for some of the nearly 2 billion people who lack clean water. LINK teamed up with Vivoblu to bring a practical and durable filter solution for developing countries into production.

Vivoblu is providing these filters primarily to global non-profits, humanitarian organizations, clean water organizations, ministries and disaster relief organizations so that they can provide their communities with clean, safe water for longer at less cost.

The team at LINK was challenged to develop a production level design that resolved some of the major challenges of using hollow fiber membrane filters in developing world environments. The filter needed to be cleanable without requiring any separate tools, while protecting the integrity of the hollow fiber membrane. The unit also needed to snap together in a way that would protect the unit during use but also be removable by the user.

Vivoblu’s charity arm, Vivoblu Water for All, which is a US 501 (c)(3) public charity, provides practical, sustainable, and safe water solutions to some of the nearly 2 billion people around the world.
